Porto to Lisbon - Watch me play a $1,000 Portuguese Guitar!

It's our last day in Porto, and we ended up climbing a high hill in Porto. There are some really great views, and mom wanted me to take a picture of all of the port wineries. Can you see some of the names?
On the top of that hill, there was a cathedral, and the handrail was a snake!

As we were leaving the church, I saw a man who was playing trumpet for a living.

On the way down, Victormama wanted to buy a Portuguese guitar. There was a guitar shop that we went into.

It had lots of different shapes, none of them that would have been familiar to anyone who wasn't Portuguese!

They had different types of guitars, and by that, I mean that the scrolls had different thins on them. Do you see the teardrop? That is a Coimbra guitar (pronounced "queem-bra").

Here's Victormama trying out a guitar, making a funny face. He ended up buying one for $750!

Then I wanted to try. After I got the hang of it, I started playing a song that you all might know!

Listen!!

 Batwoman as the virgin Mary!

After the train ride back to Lisbon, we went back to the same hostel, but it was better because the computer could recognize my finger. So here I am, scanning my finger to get inside our hotel.

A fountain in the middle of a Lisbon square.

Last day in Lisbon!

Cookies in a bouquet style. Yummy!

Hey there Mr. French Fry! Can I have some?

This is an old outdoor, 5 story elevator.

That night, after dinner, there was a magician doing tricks, and one of them was blowing fire from his mouth! I got a pretty good picture, but it was nothing compared to Victormama's picture.

On the way home, we saw a fruit shop filled with oranges ...

...and an astronaut trashcan!!!

AWESOME and COOL Medieval Festival Part II

Here's me looking through some stones to see the big wall.

City wall

City Palace

and gardens

Here's me sitting in someone's courtyard

Afterwards, we saw some kids playing around the maypole.

Near the maypole, there were a bunch of medieval games set up, like archery....

and ring toss....

and ball throwing.

These are some cool dried EVERYTHINGS!

As we walked up the hill, we got a glance of the castle we'd all been waiting for.

Near the fort, there was a bunch of markets and exhibits

Also, there was archery with real targets made from wood and cloth

A grinding stone for wheat

More spices

Here's me and Victormama at the entrance of the castle.

Just like in Obidos, there was a high wall around the castle.

Here's me on the wall of the castle!

Looking down, I got a great view of everything going on below

I'm at the top of the world!

More steps, yeah!

At the foot of the castle.

Here's the back view of the Braganza's Palace.

A small church nearby.

There's one thing we're forgetting! It's on the tip of my tongue! The Court Jester!!

He did cool tricks for everyone to watch, like juggling, comedy, etc.

Here I am being punished in the stockade!

#frownyface!

When we went home for dinner, the restaurant we went to eat had a cigarette machine. Mom said they used to be everyone in the US when she was younger.

Decorated house for the festival

A beautifully decorated tuk-tuk!

On one of our last train rides in Portugal, I purchased a bag of candy, 100 grams!

Later that day we went to on our last trip outside of Porto to a town called Aveiro. Aveiro has canals and boats, like Venice!

Here is a side view of a bridge over the canal.

Here's a boat, which has waves coming from its side, and it looks like wings. All the boats are beautifully painted.

Here's me casually hanging on the bridge!

Some of the boats have portraits. Here's one of Amalia, aka the voice of Portugal.

All over the country, people were watching the Euro soccer game, whether it was on big screens or small. Here is an outdoor area set up with a gigantic tv screen.

More boats on the canal.

Near it, was a restaurant called "Origami" and mom knows I love origami!

When we went to eat our dinner there, the shop we were getting food from had cases of MONSTER MEAT SANDWICHES!

Before we decided to eat dinner, Victormama and mom wanted to explore more. On the way, I saw this bouncy trampoline park, and asked mom if I could go. She said no, but then decided to let me do it.

Here's me chillin' in the ball pit!

and next to some aliens!

This is me in a picture with a friend I met at the park. Her named is Niraya, and I told her all about my travels and my blog. She said I was smart and a neat kid!

After that, we decided to go for dinner, and Victormama ordered a chorizo, a pork sausage which came cooking on its own spit.

Now this is just after golden hour, and it's beautiful!

Over an alleyway, there was a giant net with stuffed fish stuck in it.

A golden building at sunset in Aveiro!
