Stranded at the border at Kyrgyzstan!!!

I'm in a mini-van, aka Marshrutka, going from Almaty to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. We have to cross the border. When we reached the border, we got out of the van, and walked through a small building to get out of Kazakhstan country. Then we walked over a bridge, which was in neither country, and right after the bridge was a sign that said Kyrgyzstan in bright red letters in Russian. We went through immigration into Kyrgyzstan, and then walked out of that building.
We thought that our mini-van would be waiting for us, but it wasn't. We waited 15-30 minutes asking people how to get to Bishkek. There were fruit sellers there, but we were too busy to eat. This is me in front of a taxi driver who gave us the wrong information on how to get there.

Here are all of the mini-buses waiting at the border, but ours was not there. So we asked a very nice guy. He gave us the correct information and we got to Bishkek safely!

After we got to the hostel, we went on a small walk and we saw some statues. Before that, we went to a bakery and I had a croissant, and instead of chocolate inside, it was caramel, and boy was it good! This statue represents Freedom.

All throughout the walk, there were these drink sellers. They sold coffee, iced tea, which was usually sold out, and fermented mare's milk, which is a very popular drink here and in Kazahstan.

The next day, we went to find a museum, but it was closed. Here's a poster for a sitar player on the door of the museum.

This is another museum, which we went to.

Inside there was a replica of a yurt, which is a house that the nomads would live in.

This is the inside of the yurt.

These are some textiles in the museum.

Outside of the museum is another fountain, and boy did I have fun walking through it!

Also in a nearby park had a cultural event. Here are some girls singing a song that you all should know!!!!!

We stopped for a drink, and mommy and Victormomma had beer while I drank a bubblegum iced tea. There was a cat under the table!

This is a memorial shaped like a structure of a yurt, with mommy!

The next morning we were leaving back to Kazakhstan. Here I am eating a bubblegum and watermelon ice cream cone!

This is a German tourist van.
