More Astana!!!!

In Astana, we went to a place called Coffee BOOM! On their ceiling and walls, they have writing, and the one I thought was interesting was "Life is Short, Eat Dessert first!"

I am taking a selfie in Coffee BOOM!

We went to the older part of Astana, to a museum, but it turns out it was still being constructed. This was outside of it. It looks like a mould of the Death Star.

On our way to another museum, we stopped at a souvenir shop, and what I thought was really funny, was a bunch of stuffed beavers playing cards.

What I thought was really cool, was the array of knives and swords for sale.

This is Victormama in front of a gourmet supermarket.

This is a statue of a warrior and a script in front of the President's Museum.

I'm in the President's Museum, with my plastic feet! For some reason, they don't let you wear shoes in the museum, so they give you plastic baggies to wear on your feet.

After the museum, we went to a mall. This is Victormama drinking Baltica 7.

Right across from the conference was this big mosque.

This is me inside one of the yurt on display right outside of the mosque. A yurt is a hut type thing that is closable and easy to move and carry. It was like an early tent, but the blankets on the outside protected people from the strong, cold winds.
Victormama and Tony are coming out of the yurt.
The conference that mom had to go to was called ICTM in this building called the University of the Arts.

This is the auditorium aka ''paper hall'' in which people read their papers.

In the building there was a display of Khazakh arts and crafts.
The pyramid is called ''Peace Pyramid''

After that shebang, we went to the Peace Pyramid.

Inside the pyramid there was a mini structure cut in half to show the 8 floors and we were only allowed to see three

This is the oooopera hall

The roof of the opera hall

Wonkavator it goes slantways up the pyramid

The third floor that we were allowed to see had a little circle in the middle so you can see the pyramid roof. Also, there were a bunch of statues with costumes from Kazakhstan and around the area.

On the 8th floor, I took a picture of the tour guide with a bunch of fake flowers in the back.
This is the very top of the pyramid, and on it there are a bunch of painted doves and stained glass sun on the window
This is the meeting circle at the top for the top religious groups in the world to meet for peace. The pope came here.
Here's the city of Astana and the painted doves
This is the emblem right near the conference site.
After the pyramid, we went to the Kazakhstan Republic National Museum.
Me with the horse statue outside of the Kazakh Museum.

This is me mimicking a brass statue of a dombra player.
A cool statue in the museum.
A diorama in the museum of a thatched hut
An ancient clay pot which I thought was funny cuz it has a scanner on it.
An ancient Kazakh hat.

The Kazah National dress.
Osiris statue in Pyramid of Peace.
Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris in the Peace Pyramid Exhibit.

Suit of armour in the Museum.
Ancient tea pot in the Museum.

On the bottom floor, there was a gift shop and stuff about space and how Kazakhstan was connected with that. The Russian rockets were launched from Kazakhstan. This is my head in a rocket thruster.

Mommy giving her paper at the conference

Victormama giving his paper at the conference.
Tony giving his paper at the conference.
A stretch limo outside of the University where the conference was.

All of the students that were at the conference came with us for a street dinner, and we had Chinese. This is Victormama's student, Nikki. and I got a picture of her. Nikki translated with opera tenor student who was in the restaurant eating since no one spoke Russian or Kazakh in the group.
Here we all are!

This place is all about meat. This is actually the veg dish, which actually has lamb in it.

Mommy's bag from the conference. It looks like a saddle bag.

Me on a bus in Astana going to the airport.

When we were leaving for Almaty, I took a picture of the airport in Astana.
