That day, we woke up super late, at like
11:00. We packed up and moved to a new hotel called Monte Sinai, which was
closer to the waterfront. After we did that, it was time for lunch. We went to
a place just down the street from our hotel. It was a cool tent-type
thing.
In the middle of our lunch, a child with
an accordion started playing for people and asking for money. He came all the
way across the restaurant to us, and we gave him a Euro and took a
picture.
After a few hours of staying in our hotel
(we were still really tired from the festival last night), Victormama and I
went out for a walk and we went down to the river, and I took a picture.
With all of the moving around going on,
there are signs everywhere that are welcoming everyone who is being excluded
because of religion or politics.
There are a lot of houses on the hill
going down to the river, and I got a glimpse of yet another bridge.
We decided to go up onto the bridge made
by Gustavo Eiffel, and so we had to climb up a bunch of hills to get there. On
one of the inclines, there was a wall with some graffiti on it. I took a
picture of an alien.
On the top there was a cathedral, and a
statue of a man on a horse holding a spear. Each town only has one cathedral in
it.
The cathedral was on a ledge near
the water so I took a picture with a hammer.
On the way back to the hotel, on the
other side of the river, Victormama wanted to see when the wine tours of
Sandeman and other Port winemakers was going on. And on the door to the
Sandeman Port Co., was a timeline and markers of the floods from when the river
rose up.
After crossing the bridge, there was a guy singing and playing
guitar.
Near a restaurant, there was a band playing.
Sunset picture of the river.
