Monsoon rain |
We went to the market, and this is when the monsoon rain fell and flooded all the streets. We had to use a bicycle rickshaw to get us across the street. Dad tried to give him some money for helping us, but he wouldn't take it.

These are mommy's gold earrings that she couldn't wear for 5 years cause they were broken. We got them fixed in Ranchi |
Yesterday we left Ranchi to go to Patna the capital of Bihar
to visit more aunts, uncles and cousins. We went on a non A/C train for 8
hours. It had single seats, not benches, a lot of train cars, open windows.
There was one nice boy who was very nice who gave up his seat for me. I offered
him two cookies, Oreo and Bourbon biscuit, a type of chocolate Indian cookie
kind of like an Oreo but with longer cookies and chocolate on the inside. The
boy didn’t accept either. Maybe he was wise or scared. I saw a lot of people
going up and down the aisles, poor people begging for money, floor cleaners
doing their job for money, chai and snack sellers. I took a lot of pictures out
of the open train door and windows, and that’s how I got evidence of the train.
